About Isha Emley

Welcome!

Isha Eve Emley returned in May 2010 from a three month apprenticeship in India; studying, chanting, and practicing the art of Yoga she loves so deeply. Her initial inspiration came from a book by J. Krishnamurti over fifteen years ago and her practice continues...deeply anchored in meditation, devotion, and the contemplative life. Her experiential wisdom of the body comes from studying Feldenkrais, the Alexander Technique, Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Kriya Yoga. As an ordained Interfaith Minister from The New Seminary in NYC, Isha works as a Chaplain in the Emergency Room and Progressive Care Unit of St. Anthony’s Hospital. She offers spiritual counseling and has been teaching Yoga for seven years. Her classes and counseling cultivate living meditation meant for practical application in all aspects of life.

A poetic play on the Isha Upanishad

Deciphering a language to translate the truth
No longer restricted or veiled and uncouth
Speaking in words what cannot be spoken
All is fulfilled when deception is broken
Teaching a truth only silence can know
Written a thousand long lifetimes ago
Left slain in the desert in ruins below
Now it is hear, heard to become
Dissolving deceit and expanding the cross
The word is not left and the word is not lost
Only a truth to be lived
And believed
Oceans to be healed and bodies to be won
Emanating joy surpassing the sun
Delighting in division with Remembrance of the One
A playful unfolding of the true begotten Son
Bodies unite and minds are blown
Thoughts dissolve to transmissions alone
An imprint of flesh is left here behind
But the blood is still and the breath divine
Empty palms turn up and the sky falls down
Creation held in the hands of a haloed crown
No more righteousness, no more wrong
Divisions dissolving with ears full of song
No fear is left and no strength required
Form holding space for Brahman’s Self-Becoming Child
Bright, Indivisible, the Perfected Form plays
Immutable, Bodiless, sanctifying all days
Shedding skin shackles and soaring for home
Radiating truth and becoming the AUM
In skins without scar and bodies without break
Illusion unfolding the giving and take
Yet nothing is taken and nothing is giving
The One is projecting the Realized is living
The practice required is sharp razor lined
An illumined plan of sacred design
Every breath is prayer and every moment is play
In the perfected path of this ascendant way
In sacred geometry we align to receive
Transmissions of imminence here to believe
A diamond yogic body with a still open mind
Will birth an understanding pure of its own kind
Shattering the One into the sparkling Many
Casting rainbows and light shows inaction of plenty
A higher frequency is absorbed sounding the Word
The illumination received is known but not heard
A remembrance unveiled in baptism of Source
All in due time and all on its course
The living born surrenders to immortal non-birth
Liberation becomes waking, breathing, loving mirth
A gift in form of physical belief
Man is living in cheer-filled eternal relief
Take care filled steps expecting nothing
Attachment is vile and violent corruption
Be birth or unbirth but offer your all
Holding an ideal will hasten your fall
I AM the good news
But to know it, you cannot win and you cannot lose
No more having, no less living
Become the breath of the love you’re giving
That within is becoming its Self
The Lover becomes the Loved, the Seeker becomes the Sought,
the Seer becomes the Seen, the Thinker becomes the Thought
